Project-Concept Developer III

Description

Concept Develop III will be focused on aiding the Emerging Technology VFX Unit in the development of innovative visual experiences for broadcast television. The candidate has post production experience in film or broadcast. This person has the ability to work under strict deadlines and have a considerable attention to detail. The desired candidate can understand what the client and team needs, and can convert this into astounding and impactful visuals. The candidate collaborates closely with Sr. Concept Developers to ensure effective pipeline integration. Must have the ability to perform under high pressure in a live remote event environment Based on the increased demand for new Visual Effects initiatives, this position is vital to the VFX Unit continuing to meet the needs of our customers. The Emerging Technology VFX Unit has been requested at WinterX 2012, as well as other projects. Currently, there is not enough bodies to handle the projected workload.

This is a project position with an estimated length of 2.5 years.

The Responsibilities of the Concept Developer III are listed below, but not limited to the following:
1. Working closely with VFX team to determine best approach to solve effects challenges and develop final look.
2. 3D modeling, rigging, texturing and surfacing
3. 3D lighting, effects, and rendering.
4. All facets of composting including keying, removal, rotoscoping.
5. Matchmoving and set reconstruction
6. Python Scripting for automation and cross-software communication
7. Assist in developing real-time Visual Effects in our real-time system.
8. Provide input regarding tools and interfaces to improve throughput
9. Building quick turnaround VFX templates.
10. Provide on-site event VFX.
11. Onsite remote operation
12. Ability to work weekends, nights and holidays when required
