Designer, Attraction - 3D Generalist

Description

• Responsible for the creation, development, and execution of various media elements of assigned attractions, rides, and shows. This may include pre-visualization and animatics, composition, timing studies, integration of media and sets, and final media created with a variety of 3D and compositing tools. Responsible for designing to project program and budget, and for coordinating and integrating with other disciplines including but not limited to engineering, operations, and architect/engineer of record. • Conceives, develops and defines all design elements of assigned project that affect guest experience in concert with the Creative Director. Accomplished with many different methods, including, but not limited to: participating in brainstorm sessions, creating sketches, storyboards, POVs, renderings, 3D models, illustrations, plans, sections and elevations as well as supervising others in developing those ideas (i.e. designers, artists, writers, etc.) • Will use various applications including but not limited to Maya, 3DS Max, After Effects, and Photoshop. • Oversees and directs the execution of all applicable project elements to insure world-class guest experience intent and overall quality. Applicable project elements may include, but are not limited to, scenic art and production, film production, music and sound production, production of special fx, lighting design as well as involvement in final installation of these elements. The elements may be executed by inside talent as well as outside vendors. • Acts as design “vision-keeper” for the project, maintaining a cohesive design in all elements associated with the project through all phases of development. • Develops and presents appropriate project presentations to both internal and external audiences to communicate project concept, content and status. • Identifies talent and resources necessary complete the project and work with Executive Producer, Human Resources and Creative Resources Manager to procure services. • Acts as project liaison for appropriate internal and external partners, licensors, and intellectual property developers. • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. • Perform other duties as assigned.
