iacc ANIMATION STUDIO SUPERVISOR

The Detao Master Academy (www.detoama.com) is a large scale initiative to bring world-class masters and experts in a wide variety of disciplines to China in order to build high end training and businesses for the creative cultural industries.

iacc (Institution for Animation and Creative Content - www.detoama.com/iacc), is a new training institution with a remarkable roster of professors and animation masters. Housed in a new 2000 sq. meter, state-of-the-art facility in the CCIC building in Songjiang, Shanghai, iacc is a highly innovative, hybrid production and training pipeline for Chinese film, television and games production.

The Animation Studio Supervisor plays a central role in developing, facilitating, and representing the instructional and production activities of iacc. In coordination with each Master, the position is responsible for overseeing the daily instruction, technical and teaching support and at times will lead supplementary instructional sessions.

 Responsibilities

•  The Studio Supervisor works closely with the Director of iacc to develop a creative learning environment

•  provides instructional and collaborative support to the Masters of iacc

•  instructs apprentices in correct operation of the asset management, workflow systems and studio software

•  monitors and ensures the security of iacc software and IP

*  designs and implements studio operational policies and procedures.

•  supervises the teaching/technical support assistant’s team and provides mentorship

•  mentors apprentices in character animation techniques

•  represents the iacc studio and programs in the absence of the Director.
