Product Assurance Tester – Electronic Gaming (EGM) - Las Vegas, NV 

In this exciting and rewarding position you will test and evaluate gaming related software products for submission to regulatory agencies. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Report to management any discrepancies, changes or recommendations, and/or problems for resolution.
  • Identify and document test problems, and monitor status of projects.
  • Determine conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequence/phase test operations.
  • Direct and exercise control over operational, functional, and performance phases of tests.
  • Confer with software engineering, and technical personnel to resolve testing issues.
  • Create test cases, analyze and interpret test data and prepare technical reports for use by software engineering and management personnel.
  • Participate in and assist with assignments and special projects as requested, ensuring efficiency and minimal downtime for the department and the company.

Required Job Skills:
  • Must have prior testing experience with electronic gaming machines.
  • Prior experience using Windows operating systems and Linux preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems.
  • Familiarity with creation and use of test plans and developing QA procedures.
  • Familiarity with using various bug tracking database tools.
  • Knowledge of the company and its products.
  • Demonstrate positive customer service to internal and external customers, in person and via phone.
  • Work as a technical professional in a high-pressure environment.
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Build positive interpersonal relationships and contribute as a member of the team.
  • Prioritize, be proactive, handle multiple responsibilities, and work under pressure.
  • Maintain flexibility to a changing environment, acknowledging urgency when necessary.
  • Exercise good judgment and discretion in confidential matters.
  • Basic math skills.

Computer Equipment and Software:
  • Knowledge of computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems.
  • Thorough working knowledge of various software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Adobe, etc.
  • Familiarity with various slot accounting systems that use SAS, ACSC, IGT, Advantage, SDS.
  • Familiarity with various External Progressive Controllers, such as Mikohn or Paltronics.
  • Familiarity with Storage Media, such as Compact Flash, EPROM, etc.

Certification, Education and Experience: 
Certification:
  • Valid gaming card, and or the ability to obtain one by the appropriate licensing agency.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age, as required by law.

Education:
  • Associates degree in Computer science or equivalent.

Experience:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of work experience and or experience testing electronic gaming machines.
