IT Network Security Administrator

We are currently looking for a full time talented and driven individual to join our IT team. We are a growing company working with leading edge technologies. Responsibilities:
System Administrator is needed to support the cloud infrastructure as well as the internal enterprise infrastructure systems. This position reports to the IT Director.

  • Detailed knowledge of LAN/WAN Network Protocols which include HSRP, EIGRP, OSPF, TCP/IP, VLAN, and VPN.
  • Cisco Router and Switch configuration, support, and problem analysis.
  • Router and Switch management/monitoring tools
  • Protocol problem analysis using packet capture tools.
  • Strong Network Security experience
  • Can support intermediate level router configurations and is well versed in Layer 2 & 3 switch configurations.
  • Can support technology products in the areas of Network Infrastructure (Core & Remote) switches and routers, Firewall/VPN Security, and Wireless systems.
  • Can utilize network diagnostic tools such to troubleshoot network problems and work vendor TAC for assistance.
  • Proven experience with implementation of enterprise solutions, IT systems with strong Network and Security Infrastructure and Technologies exposure, Windows server & infrastructure background.
  • Experience maintaining a Cisco based infrastructure, administering and troubleshooting
  • Experience in setup and configuration of VMware vSphere 4 environment and Desktop/server Virtualization
  • Experience with NAS, SAN and large attached storage arrays
  • Experience with administering and troubleshooting Symantec Backup Exec
  • Experience with monitoring, capacity management and system administration tools, Microsoft environment, Implementation and support of high availability environments,
    Knowledge of DNS, LDAP, NFS, TCP/IP and other protocol related technologies
  • Experience with System Center management tools, IIS, SQL MySQL, ftp, and Blackberry Enterprise Server.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, improve and expand local and wide area networks, routing protocols, remote VPN; Internet and voice connections
  • Expert troubleshooting capabilities and solid problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and writing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite tools
  • Strong work ethic with an attention to detail
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours to install and maintain IT infrastructure services
