Product Marketing Specialist - Mixed Reality

Canon USA, Inc. recently introduced the MREAL solution, our mixed reality product into the marketplace and as part of the ongoing development of this new business, we are looking for a strategist to focus on the marketing, planning and alliance development to support the MREAL solution. 

The MREAL Product Marketing Specialist would have responsibility for understanding market requirements and supporting marketing, planning and new market development activities including:

 

  • Developing strategic partnerships and an MREAL ecosystem
  • Managing MREAL market research into targeted new verticals and working with analysts and customers to develop specific use cases
  • Supporting the planning and launch of future MREAL products, including plug-ins and the Canon Hand Held Display (HHD)
  • Managing and attending MREAL tradeshows and events
  • Participating in customer demonstrations and supporting the proof of concept process
  • Creating marketing collateral and sales tools to promote the MREAL solution, including brochures, testimonials, news releases, and web content
  • Support product planning and market development activities for the growth and management of MREAL business
  • Develops competitive marketing tools and strategies in order to provide concise information and coordinated recommendations to the sales, pricing, contracting and marketing management on new and existing products. 
  • Analyzes data and provides recommendations for the development of marketing and incentive plans to increase the sales of a particular product and/or product lines.
  • Ensures that appropriate personnel are aware of market conditions, Canon’s position in the market, and comparative advantages of Canon versus competitive products.
  • Creates sales presentations for existing and potential customers in order to ensure proper communication of product features and specifications. 
  • Assesses the needs of targeted segments within an assigned region by collecting market information from Canon’s customers and dealers. 
  • Relays market information in order to participate in the development of appropriate marketing strategies and programs and ensure the proper positioning of Canon products.
  • Conducts training for Canon’s sales and dealer personnel and provides the technological information and terminology required to communicate with the customers’ management. 
  • Participates in industry trade shows, demonstrates products and fields questions from end users and channel partners.
  • Supports Field Marketing activities to drive channel sales, including but not limited to management of solutions in Canon Showroom locations, development of use case studies, and other related activities. 
  • Supports the key vertical marketing efforts as well as marketing of compliance solutions including (Environmental, Accessibility, and Security) solutions.
