Engineering Manager, iGaming - Las Vegas, NV 

The Engineering Manager is expected to direct an organization that includes lead engineers, engineers, artists, and contractors. Using the principles of Lean Engineering, the Engineering Manager will be responsible for the development and mentoring of the staff within their span of control. 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 
This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include, but are not limited to: train and mentor employees; plan, assign, delegate and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; and resolve employee issues. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain an Engineer-centric environment to attract and keep top tier talent
  • Manage and assemble a team with an optimal mix of all sources of talent
  • Direct leads and individual contributors towards continual process improvements to increase quality throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Provide accountability to development measurements and metrics

Required Job Skills:
  • Experience in driving technical standards
  • Strong and proven business leadership ability with experience leading technology applications that translate into real business value
  • Strong technical knowledge in object-oriented design, software design patterns, and deployment architectures
  • Robust understanding and experience with data manipulation technologies such as web services
  • Ability to scope projects, and lead multiple projects simultaneously

Computer Equipment and Software:
  • Windows and Microsoft Office Suite or an equivalent Office Suite

Education and Experience: 
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical degree or comparable experience

Experience:
  • Five plus (5+) years technical managerial and leadership experience in the game/gaming industry with products launched preferred.
  • Three plus (3+) years industry experience utilizing Agile Methodologies for Software Development

Specifically:
  • Lean Engineering
  • SCRUM
  • Kanban
  • XP
  • Crystal
