LEAD SERVER ADMINISTRATOR #1643352 We are looking for a Lead Server Administrator to join the Corporate Infrastructure Services team, we are a start-up team and need a great person for all infrastructure support. The CIS team is responsible for all elements of Enterprise servers on both Physical and Virtual platforms, as well as Active Directory and Enterprise Monitoring and Reporting. As a technical lead, you will be responsible for guiding the evolution, enhancement, and stabilization of our technical service areas. We are evolving our platform to provide private cloud services, so extensive experience designing, managing, and supporting large-scale Virtualized Infrastructure is a must. No Trolls Allowed: Rock Star technical skills are nice, but not the total package. Because this is a lead role, we're looking for someone who has very strong interpersonal skills and a passion for developing the technical skills of others. We need someone who will set an example with their tenacity and strong motivation to solve problems all the way down to their absolute root cause, and someone who is not afraid to debate their position exhaustively, yet humble enough to accept that they do not have all the answers. Long-View Needed: Having installed and supported Windows or VMWare is not enough. We are looking for someone who can design, explain, implement, and run holistic solutions which incorporate system, storage, and networking elements. We need someone who proactively seeks to find the solution needle in the haystack of symptoms, and is focused on ensuring an outstanding customer experience. Globetrotters Wanted: We are an International team, distributed across 4 continents. Travel isn't a huge requirement for this role, but multi-cultural experience and sensitivity is. Prior experience with geographically distributed teams is a big plus. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - 15+ years as a Senior-Level System Administrator with Microsoft and *nix Server Technologies including: * Windows Servers * Active Directory * Server Clustering Services * Server Automation/Scripting * System Monitoring and Reporting * Solution Architecture/Design - Experience with designing and implementing large-scale Virtualization environments using either VMWare or Microsoft Hyper-V - Experience working across multiple time-zones with International staff - Experience supporting, configuring, and managing enterprise-class server hardware - Experience with multiple storage topologies and interfaces, including SAN and iSCSI - Prior experience as a team lead or IT manager is a plus - Bachelors degree preferred EOE
