CAMERA ARCHITECT

CAMERA ARCHITECT #1523189 This is an opportunity to help in expanding the NVIDIA Imaging Signal Processor (ISP) solution to a new level of functionality and features. The camera architect works closely with the senior architects and engineers in analyzing imaging systems and driving improvements in NVIDIA?s camera algorithms and HW design. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Conduct in-depth studies to better understand imaging algorithms, profiling of camera systems ranging from the sensor module to the SW stack, as well as drive experiments for competitive analysis. - Perform conformance and characterization studies of customer imaging systems - Develop tools to assist with algorithm development, ISP modeling, image quality evaluation and validation, etc. - Develop directed tests for image quality validation on ISP models. - Prototype imaging algorithms on ISP model or HW reference platforms A successful candidate for this position should have experience in digital imaging, expertise in the areas of CMOS image capture and processing or computational photography, enjoys and is adept at being hands-on with actual HW or devices, exhibits strong engineering sense is methodical and detail oriented in your work. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - The ideal candidate will possess an advanced degree in computer science, computer architecture, digital signal processing or mathematics or related discipline. - Prefer 2+ years of relevant industry experience. Relevant industries include digital camera, sensor, consumer electronics, computational imaging or digital image processing. - Strong C and C++ programming skills. Python, MATLAB, and GUI programming experience are plusses. Experience programming with Android, Linux, ARM, NEON are a plus. - The candidate should be familiar with current literature and a wide range of CMOS digital imaging and image processing techniques related to digital cameras as well as color standards and measurements. - A working understanding of modern CMOS sensors and camera optics. - Must be hands-on and work well within a team of algorithms, hardware and software engineers, with a significant level of detailed orientation and a penchant for data organization and presentation EOE
