SENIOR CAD ENGINEER

SENIOR CAD ENGINEER #1607976 As a Sr CAD Engineer in our VLSI team you will provide front-to-back IC Cad support for analog and mixed-signal designs using Cadence and Synopsys tools. Responsibilities include general user support, tool customizations, unix/linux support and development testing of new tools and flows. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Full support for Cadence custom flows, tool development, installation and maintenance (DFII, VXL, SKILL programming, PCELLs, CDFs, Netlisting, Hercules, Verilog netlisting and others). - Work with local Cad team to provide general Cad services support, utilities, scripts. - Support ICManage revision control software. - P-cell development in advanced process nodes - Shell environment management - Tool configuration and application - Design flow analysis and correction - Test development and automation - Foundry IP installation - Configuration management - General user support - Documentation MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - BSEE or MSEE with a strong computer science background. - 5 years of experience in analog and digital new product development IC cad support using both Cadence and Synopsys tools. - Must have a solid understanding of IC design and devices, as well as analog / mixed-signal design flows. - Must have experience supporting Cadence Composer Virtuoso, Layout tools, VXL, PCELLs, CDFs. - Must be have experience with physical verification tools Hercules and/or Calibre. - Programming languages: DFII SKILL, Verilog, PERL. - Must be proficient with Unix / Linux OS, utilities, and scripting. - Must possess excellent communication skills both oral and written. - Must be knowledgeable with the following: * VLSI design and/or device understanding * scripting (compiled languages) * debugging software systems * organizing data * speaking clearly * writing efficiently * connecting strategic goals and tactical actions DESIRED TRAITS: - Collaborative - Curious - Flexible - Self-motivated EOE
