SENIOR SOFTWARE QA ENGINEER

SENIOR SOFTWARE QA ENGINEER #1567026 The applicant will be a key member of the Software QA team working on cloud-centric products to help assure increases in product quality. The candidate will apply their experience and skills in key areas including developing tests and/or test tools, and design new feature test plans to ensure that the product operates efficiently and flawlessly with all hardware and software systems. The candidate will work on fast-paced, dynamic projects that will provide ample technical growth opportunities and hands-on experience with cloud-centric hardware and systems. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Explore QA practices and processes and develop improvements in these areas - Create test plans according to specifications - Execute tests, analyze data, and report the information to development teams - Track issues and help drive to closure - Provide technical analysis and data-driven reports to stakeholders - Develop a subject matter expert (SME) level knowledge of the technology areas and products - Utilize coding skills and experience to develop tests and/or test tools - Work directly with development teams and other QA teams on a global scale - Maintain Virtualization servers for our virtual graphics certification environment MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - BE, BS or MS in CS/CE or related technical degree - QA Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience * Previous experience with cloud related products is a plus * Previous experience or knowledge of virtualization is a plus - Must have experience with server configuration/troubleshooting, storage and hardware knowledge - Working knowledge of hypervisors: Citrix, VMWare, RemoteFX required - Working knowledge of coding, preferably C++ - Experience with graphics and system device drivers - Knowledge of modern computer hardware (NVIDIA and competitors) * Knowledge of modern mobile hardware is a plus - Knowledge of the various flavors of Linux and Windows operating systems - Individual contributor that performs well with minimal supervision and has the capability to multi-task successfully * Willing and able to participate in off-hours conference calls - Expert level knowledge and experience creating thorough test plans and test case definitions - Ability to produce excellent results by translating high-level requirements into detailed workable test plans - Must have proven track record of working cross-functionally to meet milestones and objectives IDEAL EXPERIENCE: - Hands on working experience on various hypervisors like Citrix, VMWare, RemoteFX etc - Working experience on CAD/CAM/DCC applications (AutoCAD, Adobe, Catia, RTT, Deltagen....)
