Business Development Manager
Silicon Beach Media (SBM) is a cutting edge game
design and development centre located in Venice, California where Silicon
Valley meets the creative and entertainment industries of Hollywood. SBM designs and builds 3D mobile gaming
platforms and develops exciting and relevant games for gamers to play across
different platforms.
Silicon Beach Media is seeking to appoint an outstanding individual
who will play a significant role in growing this start-up business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The main
responsibility of the Business Development Manager is for commercial
partnerships, management, business modeling, content licensing, evaluating, and
finding innovative and exciting forms of gaming that can be experienced across all
products.

Establish
and manage relationships with game distributors, publishers & developers on
a global basis.
•
Lead and
manage content acquisition strategies and alliances with our partners.
•
Identify
best fit partners/business models to maximize margin on content sales through
download channel, preloads, and bundles
•
Coordinate
and optimize output from partners
•
Create
innovative partnerships to introduce our product to target markets & users
•
Contribute
to games roadmap that details applications available for promotional
opportunities.
•
Ensure
that games content acquisition strategy is aligned with device propositions and
target goals
•
Take
ownership of relationships ensuring our partners receive value from the
relationship, and are engaged and satisfied in their partnership.
•
Write
proposals, conduct presentations, and demonstrations
•
Demonstrate
enthusiasm, initiative, teamwork, and professionalism.
EXPERIENCE AND
KNOWLEDGE:
•
4 year
degree or equivalent; MBA with international business focus is strongly desired
•
Expert
negotiation skills
•
3+ Years
in wireless / mobile gaming industry experience
•
2+ Years
experience with 3rd party game providers
•
Focus on
international partnerships
•
Active
knowledge of Android ecosystem business models and game landscape

Silicon Beach Media provides participation in profit sharing
scheme for 2014 as well as share options.
Salary is base plus uncapped performance bonus. Telecommuting is an option and will require
attendance in the Venice office a minimum of 5 days per month.
