SR. NOTEBOOK APPLICATIONS ENGINEER #1656789 RESPONSIBILITIES: As a head office based AE this individual will have the responsibility of being the focal point for NVIDIA ODM/OEM customers for: - Post-Sales System Design Support through schematic review, layout review, system bring up and characterization. - Performing detailed timing analysis of our high speed interfaces including TMDS, LVDS, DDR3, GDDR5 SDRAM, PCI-Express. - Understand high speed system design and layout issues. - High speed bus signal integrity debug/characterization. - Troubleshooting customer problems. - Interfacing with the ASIC design organization to understand limitations of products, build functional and timing specifications for customers. - Interfacing with the System design organization to keep up to speed on latest technologies, processes and working with customers to integrate discoveries into their processes. - Interfacing with Failure Analysis organization to build product specifications, resolve customer issues and concerns. - Interfacing with Marketing and Sales organizations to build product specifications, identify solutions for new and existing market spaces. - Work with FAE teams to resolve customer issues in time critical environment. - System Design of bringup and customer evaluation platforms. - Coordinate with other geographically dispersed FAEs to expedite customer requests. - Assist with generating design collaterals for customers. - Customer and Staff training. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - BS EE with 5 years of relevant experience, or MS EE with 2-3 years of relevant experience - Team player with good communication and problem-solving skills. - Familiar with PCB layout and high speed board design issues. - Familiar with bus protocols such as PCI-Express, TMDS, LVDS, DDR3, GDDR5 SDRAM. - Understanding of DC-DC power supply - Understanding of BIOS, drivers and other software applications. - Extensive experience with digital logic design, analog design a plus.
