Human Resources Coordinator

Piranha Games has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our multi-functional team. This is a 6-month contract position with possible extension. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will be involved in areas such as Recruitment & Selection, General HR Administration, and Benefits & Compensation. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives for challenges and wants to extend HR experience with a growing organization.

What you will be doing:

  • Support recruitment activities through coordinating job postings, maintaining both Piranha’s Online Application System and Careers Page, arranging interviews, and conducting reference checks
  • Manage the new hire onboarding process which includes collecting new hire information, conducting new hire orientation, and creating new hire introduction email
  • Maintain information integrity and execute proper record keeping practices in HRIS and the filing system
  • Prepare employment contracts and other HR correspondences
  • Administer benefits program including new enrolments, changes, and cancellations
  • Respond to general employee inquiries and escalate issues to the HR Manager when necessary
  • Coordinate company events and support a positive culture within the organization
  • Assist with performance and compensation review processes
  • Other ad-hoc projects as assigned by the HR Manager

What you will bring with you:

  • 2+ years of experience in the HR Coordinator position or position with similar responsibilities
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Human Resources Management or a related field
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to follow through
  • Excellent organizational skill and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • An appetite to learn new things and an ability to learn on-the-fly
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team in an ever-changing, fast paced work environment
  • Proven track record of proficiency in HRIS administration and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • A solid work ethic without sacrificing your ability to have fun on the job!
  • CHRP designation is an asset
