BioLucid, a developer of immersive 3D software, mobile games/sims and a revolutionary medical visualization product, is seeking a highly experienced, motivated, and knowledgeable concept artist to work in with the designers to conceptualize the visual content of the project. 

BioLucid is a stable and expanding global company, and industry leader in the mHealth sector just beginning to hit the mainstream. No prior science or healthcare industry experience needed, but an interest in the subject matter is important. Any type of anatomical, cellular, molecular or other scientific illustration experience is a BIG plus. Please include this in your portfolio if so.

 The ideal candidate:

 ·       Will be creative, with the ability to interpret and realize ideas generated by our scientists and physicians.

·       Will be proficient in digital painting to a high degree with excellent use of color and composition.

·       Will be highly proficient Photoshop and Corel Painter, working with tablet or Cintique.

·       Will have the skills of a fine artist, and must also be able to work to strict deadlines.

·       Will provide a broad range of interpretations,  in the early stages of a project, most in the form of sketches, speed paints, and 3D overpaints

·       Will have experience in drawing and illustrating screens of the important steps of an  overall project.

·       Will generate color pallets and other assistance for 3D artists to use.

·       Will have an understanding of real-time art development, as it relates to concept development.

·       Will enjoy creating other-worldly environments, and setting the stage for AAA level real time art development.

 

Responsibilities

·       Generate visual designs for medical environments for use in 3D asset creation.

·       Provide look and feel mockups to our team of artists and programmers with elegant design concepts.

·

       Painting of certain texture maps for use on 3D assets.

 Requirements

·       Bachelor’s degree preferred

·       In-depth understanding of computer illustration software packages, e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Painter, Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)

·       Interest in animation, science, mobile development, and interactive applications.

·       Experience working within a studio pipeline.

·       Excellent illustration skills.

·       Effective communication skills.

·       Ability to visualize perspective and 3-dimensional space.

·       Artistic sensibility, technical skill, problem solving, takes direction and critique well, attention to detail, deadline-oriented,   creativity, flexibility, ability to work on multiple projects and different stages and shift priorities as needed.

·       Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills (verbal and written)

·       Ability to collaborate with a team, as well as be able to work individually as needed for projects

·       Able to self-manage and be adaptable

·       Ability to visually interpret other people's ideas;

·       Ability to be flexible and to adapt to change when requested;

·       Will have ability to make creative decisions while maintaining client and director specifications

·       Will be detailed oriented, understand the need for proofing work  and be very organized

·       Will be up to date on latest design trends, as well as tuned in to industry restrictions where applicable

·       Interest in Health and Healthcare subjects a plus
