VFX Producer

If you are an experienced VFX Producer and want to join one of the world’s leading VFX studios, then look no further.  Double Negative is looking for a Senior Producer, passionate about producing high-end visual effects, to manage large-scale film projects. You will have proven experience producing for feature films in established VFX facilities and possess superior project management skills.

With offices in London and Singapore, Double Negative serves the global film and television community. Awards for our recent work include an Oscar and BAFTA for Inception and a BAFTA for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.

Over the past year, Double Negative has completed work on Godzilla, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Thor: The Dark World, Transcendence , Fast & Furious 6, Captain Phillips, Rush, Man of Steel, The World’s End, and Cuban Fury. Shows currently in production include Ridley Scott’s Exodus: Gods and Kings, Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, Ron Howard’s In The Heart of the Sea, the Wachowskis’ Jupiter Ascending, Francis Lawrence’s The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Alex Garland’s Ex Machina and Brett Ratner’s Hercules.

 

Key Purpose of the Job

The Visual Effects Producer is at the heart of a production. They are required to manage all aspects of a show, typically including the initial visual effects breakdown and bid, planning and scheduling of facility resources, managing the visual effects team and monitoring their work during the post-production process and liaising with the client throughout.

 

Needs To Do

  • Bid work with the Visual Effects Supervisor
  • Plan and schedule facility resources with the Visual Effects Supervisor and Facility Resource Manager to create an effective approach to the visual effects work
  • Ensure the progression of work to the client’s satisfaction
  • Report the progress of work to the Head of Production on a weekly basis
  • Report the progress of work to the client on a weekly basis
  • Plan the day to day work of their production team
  • Ensure all facility departments are aware of the production’s requirements

 

Needs To Know

  • Minimum of four years experience as a VFX Producer
  • MS Office; particularly Excel. An understanding of Project is also beneficial

 

Needs To Be

  • Proven in project management
  • Capable of motivating and leading a large team, with enthusiasm and clarity
  • Calm, organised and methodical in their approach to the work
