Solution Engineer

Description

Use your experience and knowledge of geodatabase design and configuration to support customers that build applications for web, mobile, and desktop with Esri’s cloud services, developer APIs, ready-to-use content and self-hosted solutions.

 

Responsibilities:

*Apply geodatabase design methodology and best practices to develop appropriate solutions that address customer technical requirements associated with Esri’s platform technology.

*Provide recommendations and improve system design, application technology, and operational performance for customers.

*Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for customers learning of Esri’s software capabilities for the first time.

*Collaborate with Esri''s sales team to support the business and technical goals of customers.

*Prepare and present sound demonstrations, detailing Esri’s platform capabilities, to both technical and non-technical audiences.


*Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. You must have the ability to discuss technical capabilities to non-technical audiences.

*A strong awareness of how professionals can leverage GIS technology and geo-enabled data to achieve their business goals.

*Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, GIS, engineering, or related field

*Five or more years of experience implementing, administrating, or applying GIS concepts using Esri technology in various industry domains and/or technical environments.

*Demonstrated experience using Esri software offerings to improve the effectiveness of spatial analytics within geo-enabled applications. This includes web, mobile, enterprise, and desktop applications.

 

Recommended Qualifications:

*Familiarity or experience with DBMS in a commercial RDBMS

*Experience in the design, development, implementation, and/or administration of custom ArcGIS solutions or equivalent technology

*Familiarity or experience with programming languages such as Python, .NET, and JavaScript

*Knowledge and experience in software engineering and/or robust application development principles and practices
