Job Summary:

Our ideal Lighting & Compositing Artist candidate will have the technical understanding and skills of a Technical Director and a good artistic eye. He or she will implement and enhance the art direction given by lighting characters and environments for assigned shots. This individual will have the ability to light multiple types of scenes of varying complexities and verify their shots fit the continuity of the sequence.

This is a contract position for 7 weeks. Travel and housing are provided.

Skills/Abilities/Education:

  •  2+ years experience lighting in the film/commercial industry
  • Thorough knowledge and experience with lighting in Maya, using the Arnold renderer, and compositing in Nuke
  • Experience with other aspects of the pipeline a plus, including modeling, rigging, color, texture, and shading
  • Ability to troubleshoot and navigate technical errors in assigned scenes
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet required deadlines
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment and taking direction
  • Must take initiative in handling assigned duties and additional tasks which will aid the function of the organization
  • Must be flexible.
