Animator

Description

Nitrogen Studios is looking for Animators to join us on a “Sausage Party”, a new R-rated CGI animated feature film by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

Responsibilities:

• Work from storyboard/animatic to create feature level, key-framed animation
• Demonstrating a strong sense of performance, posing, timing, weight, and lip sync while maintaining shot-to-shot continuity.
• Ensure animation adheres to the style and vision set out by the Animation Director and Directors.
• Attend animation dailies and adjust/refine animation as indicated by the Animation Director and Directors.
• Deliver quality work in a timely manner while meeting the quota assigned.

Skills and Requirements:

• Minimum of 2+ years professional animation experience working with Maya
• Ability to interpret a storyboard.
• Experience creating expressive hand and facial animation in a production environment
• Solid understanding of traditional animation principles
• Able to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas
• Team player
• Enthusiasm and desire to improve your character animation skills
• Task driven, self –motivated and proactive
• Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot technically
• Experience with rigging a plus
• BC residents preferred, but not required
