VFX Production Coordinator

DESCRIPTION

Working alongside the artists and producers, the VFX Production Coordinator ensures that shots are being followed closely and delivered corresponding to well-formed goals and/ or objectives and deadlines. The VFX Production Coordinator will assist in making sure that projects run efficiently and support to set-up the daily operations of the team.

This position requires effective project management and communication skills. Capability of remaining composed under pressure and working effectively in fast-paced environments and dealing with tight deadlines. Demonstrated ability of multitasking, prioritizing, showing attention to detail, organizational skills and a ‘can do’ attitude is highly desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Planning and/ or coordinating project meetings, dailies and rounds
  • Tracking and logging all shot notes from dailies, rounds and cinesync and from clients
  • Making sure teams understand daily delivery goals 
  • Successfully managing and observing numerous assignments
  • Organizing and giving precedence to tracking project details and internal technical assignments 
  • Managing and coordinating media for cinesync and/ or client review meetings
  • Ensuring work is finished on time, approved and meets the needs of the specific project
  • Providing frequent team updates and communicating effectively
  • Shotgun Management: updating project scope, status and completion details
  • Organizing and putting together shot deliveries along with submission paperwork
  • Preparing reports, monitoring and handling progress, issues and recording findings and requirements
  • Determining quality control and project closure processes


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience within the VFX or Film Production industry
  • Knowledge of visual effects pipeline, visual effects processes and terminologies  are considered an asset
  • Proficient with Shotgun (database-management/ project software)
  • Extremely organized with outstanding scheduling and project management skills
  • Ability to liaise and collaborate with clients, artists and producers and thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • Capable of working autonomously or within a team dynamic
  • Effective communicator with problem-solving skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
