Position Description
Carr Engineering, Inc. is an engineering firm that specializes in
determining the causes, conditions, and circumstances of motor vehicle crashes.
Located in Houston, Texas, we are looking for an individual to assist with the
collection, processing, and analysis of 3D vehicle and crash scene data in
order to support engineering calculations of crash energy, crash forces,
vehicle speeds, and vehicle pre-crash and post-crash motions. Deliverables
include photo-realistic 3D crash animations.
Required Skills and Interests
o
Personal passion for technical modeling (vehicles, machines, mechanical
devices, etc.).
o
Ability to work to scale with a high level of precision.
o
Aptitude to perform to an extremely high standard in a high-pressure environment.
o
Excellent verbal communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
o
Demonstrated time management skills to ensure non-negotiable project
deadlines are met.
o
Willingness to work overtime and non-conventional hours as required.
o
Flexibility to rapidly switch between multiple projects.
Compensation
o
The contract duration is anticipated to be a period of at least six
months.
o
Contracted hourly rate to be commensurate with background and experience.
o
Overtime hours to be compensated at the standard contracted hourly
rate.
o
It is required to be physically present in the office during standard
working hours (i.e., this is not a work-from-home position).
o
A benefits package including paid vacation time, 401(k) profit sharing,
and company-paid health insurance will be provided upon a successful transition
to hire.
