Deck Nine Games is growing! We are looking for an outstanding Lead Producer to join our award-winning narrative adventure team. As Lead Producer you will partner with the Game Director as the ultimate leaders of the game, driving the creative and production vision for the game. This is a multi-year project still in the early stages with a team of 80+ developers.

Responsibilities

•  Master the production variables in a narrative adventure development cycle

•  Own a flexible production plan capable of surviving change

•  Collaborate with your partner, the Game Director, to utilize data and schedules to help drive decisions large and small

•  Establish milestone schedule and deliverables

•  Inform, collaborate, and negotiate with Publisher throughout project life cycle

•  Mentor a team of junior and senior producers on the project

•  Identify and mitigate risks to team and project before they happen

•  Contribute solutions to team, product, and studio problems

•  Evangelize a positive, collaborative, creative studio environment that focuses on accountability

•  Be a safe harbor during the inevitable anxiety storms of development

 

Requirements

•  10+ years of overall game development experience and 7+ years leading production for AAA PC/Console games

•  Excellent verbal and written communication, time management, and conflict resolution skills

•  Pro at managing competing priorities and remaining calm and positive in the face of stress and conflict

•  Willing to get your hands dirty with scope and schedule

•  Strong knowledge of project management software, ideally Excel, Jira, and MS Project

•  Deep knowledge of game development – team dynamics, common development hurdles, game engines and technology, development milestone definitions, production process and methodology, outsourcing and co-development, scheduling, etc.

•  An experienced driver of accountability and improvement within organizations and teams of a comparable scale and complexity

•  A desire to work and support a diverse and inclusive environment

 

Extra Credit

•  Experience with narrative adventure games

•  Experience with cinematic pipelines and workflow

•  Worked in another discipline: programming, art, design, narrative, animation, et cetera

Salary Range: $100,000-$150,000 DOE

**Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation. **
