The Department of Art and Design at Augusta University seeks
outstanding applicants for a full-time tenure-track position at
the rank of Assistant Professor in Animation. This position will
teach two studio courses per semester while sustaining a practice of creative
scholarship. The position also will require participation in departmental
service and maintaining professional relationships. The successful hire will
contribute to the newly launched and quickly growing BFA track in
Animation and teach some foundational-level art courses. This
position requires proficiency in drawing skills as well as tools related to 2D
animation, including Toon Boom Harmony, Storyboard Pro, and the Adobe Creative
Cloud. Potential courses to be taught include 2D Animation, Previsualization,
Motion Graphics, Short Format Storytelling, Animation History &
Fundamentals, and Art Foundation courses. This is a tenure-track faculty position (9-month contract) with
duties to begin in August 2023.

Box.
