Deck Nine Games is growing!
We are looking for an outstanding Art Director to join one of our
award-winning narrative adventure teams. The
person we’re looking for is both a visually creative artist and an

Responsibilities
• Create, maintain,
and evangelize a stunning aesthetic vision for the project
• Begin at the
concept phase and carry a game all the way to alpha
• Collaborate with
the narrative, design, and technical leadership to ensure that your vision fits
the game
• Collaborate with
the production team to match scope and schedule needs
• Set quality
expectations and make sure your team meets them
• Get your hands
dirty with conceptualizing the look and providing feedback to the team
• Provide calm,
decisive leadership during the storms of production
Requirements
• 8+ years of overall game development
experience
• 3+ years of experience as a Senior Artist
• Must have shipped at least 1 title in
that role
• Strong foundational
art portfolio demonstrating an excellent understanding of shape, form,
composition, and color theory
• Proficiency with
industry standard 3D modelling and painting software
• A desire to work and support a diverse and
inclusive environment
Extra Credit
• Experience with narrative adventure games
• Experience with
cinematic pipelines and workflow
• Experience with
UE4 or UE5
• Worked in another discipline: programming,
art, design, narrative, animation, or
production

Full-time position available, onsite at our Westminster, Colorado studio or
remote.
Salary Range: $120,000+ DOE

successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful
candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar
positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same

developer dedicated to crafting AAA interactive story games that
inspire, transform, and entertain players. In 2021 we released Life
is Strange True Colors, which went on to win multiple awards for storytelling
and visuals, including best storytelling for 2021 and a VGA for Games for
Impact. Recently we announced that we are developing a game for the hit sci-fi
Amazon series, The Expanse. Our prior titles have won multiple awards,
