3D Animator/3D Modeler

Description

Growing Forensic Engineering firm seeking a 3D Animator/3D Modeler to join our animation team. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supporting Sr. Forensic Engineers with graphic animations of vehicle accident simulations. Duties will include in-office work up and field investigation of accident sites for the purpose of demonstrative animations.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Experience with 3Ds Max, and Video Compositing 
• A knowledge and interest in photography and practical lighting
• Aesthetic eye for light composition and detail
• Strong understanding of color, contrast, and lighting design
• Strong understanding of After Effects
• Experience compositing render passes generated from V-Ray
• Ability to create and composite 2D/3D effects
  
• Familiar with compositing stock library effects
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and enjoys working in a team environment
• The willingness to learn
• We’re looking for someone creative, who takes initiative, and can execute at a high level with minimal supervision.
  

Desired Characteristics

• At least 3 years of professional experience in television animation, feature animation, VFX
• Python scripting experience a plus
• Understanding of Nuke gizmo building
• Working knowledge of linear workflows
• Strong visual storyteller with knowledge of traditional film language and in-camera effects preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
