The Role

Senior Partnership Relationships  - Business Development Consultant

This is a part time role to help us fund and bring to market new, innovative VR games; attract new partnership and service work opportunities.

Combining extensive experience in bringing to market successful games and a strong network of VR game publishers and partners, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building Dark Slope’s VR games market strategy and executing mutually beneficial partnerships that successfully bring Dark Slope’s VR titles to leading consumer VR platforms while also sourcing new exciting projects and co-development opportunities.

Roles & Responsibilities

    • Support the refinement of Dark Slope’s overall VR games Go To Market strategy, as well as specific VR project Go To Market approaches.
    • Proactively source and secure business partnerships, including investors, publishers and co-production and service opportunities.
    • Maintain deep understanding of the VR ecosystem, including emerging trends and provide relevant insights to the production team to support, ideation and refinement of game development.
    • Review & support the positioning of VR project pitches with the goal of making them more marketable to potential partners.
    • Representation at key games markets and festivals

Experience

    • Proactive business development executive with 10+ year progressive experience in business development roles in the games industry.
    • Strong preference for experience in the virtual reality games industry.
    • Proven track record of executing games publishing and partnership agreements.
    • Large and active network in the VR industry with the ability to secure meetings with large players in the space and provide necessary credibility to secure partnerships.
    • Strong and professional communicator, able to represent Dark Slope effectively in senior level meetings.

Compensation

    • Package includes a retainer with a generous commission for attracting publisher, partner and investor interest. 
    • Base retainer is based on experience.
