JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will work within a team of engineers implementing online features for our games that meet the requirements of the project’s Creative Director and Technical Lead.
As an experienced engineer you will be responsible for designing and implementing the technology required for significant online features. These could include networked physics simulation, networked game logic, plus higher-level features like matchmaking, session management, etc. Experience of online communities, e-commerce, downloadable content, etc. would also be beneficial.
You will also be required to analyse system requirements, and find the most effective solutions to problems using both internal and external middleware.

• Implement practical and timely solutions that meet the game design and technical requirements.
• Work with our existing team to investigate, design and implement class-leading online features for our future games.
• Work as a key part of an agile development team, taking responsibility for organising and planning your own work.



REQUIREMENTS:
• Passionate about playing and making games.
• Excellent C/C++ programming skills.
• At least 1 game completed on major home consoles or PC in a significant online/network programming position.
• Experience solving online games issues related to latency, bandwidth and synchronization.
• Demonstrable technical expertise in multi-player game play.
• Ability to plan your own work and deliver on time.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ambitious about setting new standards for next-gen driving games.
