JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Purpose of the Job:
Working 1 day a week to produce dramatic and eye catching content that compliments and reflects the company’s creativity, vibrancy and body of work. You will be required to edit our company showreels, produce and edit VFX breakdowns and generate material to aid in PR and recruitment as and when required. You will work closely with the Head of Editorial to help train, advise and inspire our existing VFX editorial department.
Needs to Do:
- Produce eye catching company showreels, keeping them up to date with the latest body of work.
- Exercise independent decision-making and creative judgment in the development of projects.
- Meet the editing demands of our clients, production, management, creative and HR teams
- To inspire and train existing editing staff.
- To coordinate with VFX supervisors and Producers to create breakdown showreels for each show.
- Manage multiple projects and work efficiently with tight deadlines in a professional manner.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have at least 3 Years professional experience editing short form material on Final Cut Pro ideally, commercials, promos and music videos.
How to make the perfect showreel.
Have a firm understanding of the VFX process and how to perform a basic composite.
Working knowledge of Shake, Linux, Filemaker Pro and Photoshop desirable but not essential.
Other:
* Baselight (2K playback).
* Unix (basic).
* Film handling/ cutting.
* Steenbeck operation.

Please note this role is anticipated to run for 3 - 6 months.
