Assistant Production Manager (Feature)

Description

The Assistant Production Manager (APM) assists with the management of the artists and production personnel from pre-production through post production on an animated feature film. Each APM is assigned to a specific department or group of departments and will become an integral part of the management structure of that team.

Responsible for the day to day running of the department(s), managing established schedules through production planning, coordination and troubleshooting.

Provides the artist and supervisors with support to enable them to complete their work.

Supervises Production Assistants, Production Coordinators or other production personnel within their department.

Assists the Production Manager and Associate Producer in assigning appropriate manpower, workspace and scheduling to ensure completion of respective departments goals.

Will work closely with other APMs to ensure that inventory moves smoothly from one department to the next.

Develops and uses planning systems and 'work in process' tracking systems daily.

Completes special projects as needed or requested.
