This position is responsible for creating user retention opportunities though exciting social gameplay and web tie-ins for an upcoming web-based action RPG MMO with ground-breaking technology.

Responsibilities:


Working with systems designers, create and exploit opportunities for group based social gameplay based on the design director’s guidance
Working with the systems designers, create and implement asynchronous/offline gameplay and viral “friends-based” system mechanics, based on the design director’s guidance

Responsible for implementing all web-related gameplay tie-ins and critical-mass population based game systems into the game engine, using proprietary tools

Maintains materials and completes assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology

Reviews documentation and recommends revisions or change in scope, format, or content along with the design director and other team members

Keep current on industry knowledge of competitive games, successful genres, popular ‘fun’ mechanics, and consumer demographics within the casual game market

Work with Marketing Dept. to implement Marketing and PR campaigns related to social networking

Work with the Quality Assurance and Focus Test teams to extensively playtest and iterate upon game design content

Perform various design research tasks including data mining, metrics analysis, comparative feature analysis with other games, complex testing tasks for play balance, social trends, etc.
