Position Summary
The Front End Lead will be responsible for the artistic and technical quality of CG models, rigs, cloth/hair simulation, and surfacing for characters, sets, and props.

Job Responsibilities

•Work closely with the Art Director, CG Supervisor, and Digital Department Leads to establish the artistic look of the film through modeling, rigging, and simulation
•Oversee asset build workflow and pipeline for characters, sets, and props
•Oversite of in-house character modeling in conjuction with the Animation Director
•Work with Associate Producer to forecast, monitor, and define cost associated with model and rig development
•Evaluate and improves rigs and rigging tools/pipeline
•Create rig and rigging tool prototypes
•Create character effects (cloth/hair) prototypes and pipelines
•Create tools and scripts to assist in model, rig, and sim creation
•Identify particularly challenging assets in the movie and propose options, make recommendations and help manage film complexity
•Be highly aware of the budget and schedule impact of technical and creative solutions
•Create and manage projects with well thought out steps, milestones, and deadlines
•Build models, corrective shapes, facial, and body rigs when necessary
