Professor of Animation

Description

The Savannah College of Art and Design seeks candidates for a full-time faculty position in the department of Animation. Qualified candidates will have an MFA, or equivalent, in animation or a closely related discipline. Candidates with extensive, recognized, industry experience will also be considered. A strong portfolio that reflects a high degree of knowledge in traditional and digital 2D character animation and figure drawing is required. Additional experience in 3-d animation is preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years hands-on animation experience. College-level teaching experience is preferred, but not required. The successful candidate will have excellent drawing skills and embody drawing as the key element in 2D or 3D animation.
