Graphics Competitive Analysis Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated individual contributor seeking a challenging position in a high tech environment with a focus on 3D Graphics HW/SW systems and competitive analysis as part of a cross functional team to develop and execute benchmarking and competitive analysis plans, as well as to bring focus and manage automation of lab procedures, standards and knowledge sharing.

In this position, you will be responsible for working with performance models, simulators, and algorithms and/or tools for Graphics Architecture Performance Analysis. You will be working closely with Intel Graphics Architects to perform cost and/or benefit evaluation of features through empirical testing and analysis of competitive 3D Graphics/Media and GPGPU technologies and platforms against future Intel product introductions. You will also be working closely with the micro-architecture team to do performance validation of the actual design and correlation of simulation results to observed Si behavior.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Be knowledgeable on 3D Graphics and GPGPU/Compute benchmarks; understand pure graphic issues as well as system related parameters for best graphic and GPGPU performance. This includes multi-card such technology such as SLI and CrossFire
- Develop a close communication and technical leadership relationship with engineering, validation and product marketing teams to deliver competitive analysis information to these internal customers
- Assist and test market requirements and performance projections for Intel & comp graphics products in collaboration with Product Marketing & Planning and explore algorithmic stressing of future architectures
- Analyzing performance of the system/processor/processor graphics on a wide variety of graphics workloads, understanding/quantifying performance bottlenecks, and assist with ideas for architectural/ micro-architectural solutions to address those bottlenecks which may include component (system, memory, etc.) & system level power analysis (in addition to performance analysis)
- Correlating measured performance of actual graphics processor implementation to product performance goals/high-level simulator prediction on a variety of workloads and that products conform to standards and specifications
- Conduct or participate in multidisciplinary research in the design, development, testing and utilization of information processing hardware and/or electrical components, mechanisms, materials, and/or circuitry, processes, packaging, and cabinetry for processor based graphics and central processing units (CPU's) and/or peripheral equipment
- Develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment
- Prepare specifications, evaluate vendors, and analyzes test reports
- Develop plans and cost estimates and assess projects to analyze risk
- Develop procedures, analysis and design for computer components, products, and systems
- Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur
- Excellent problem solving, debugging and root cause analysis capabilities with strong individual motivation toward solving any task or problem encountered
- Self-starter, proactive and must be able to handle multiple tasks
- Enjoy PC gaming (FPS, RTS, RPG, etc.)
- Experience summarizing experimental data using Microsoft Office Suite
