Art Manager

Description

As the Art Manager you will work in a growing business environment with your goal being to ensure company artists meet expectations for art quality and direction. Help create an advocacy for artist needs and development, increase awareness and capability of artistic processes, and to increase specific competency within individuals. Ideal candidate for the position will have 10 years or more experience in art leadership with a recognized high level of artistic achievement and demonstrated success as a leader of people. Rocket Gaming Systems designs, develops, and delivers real-time interactive electronic gaming systems for casinos. Rocket’s products enable players in multiple gaming facilities to simultaneously compete against one another for multi-level wide-area progressive jackpots. Every day, our networked, multimedia gaming systems are enjoyed by tens of thousands of players competing in real time for major progressive jackpots.

Among your job responsibilities will be:
•Managing staff of artists from Senior Level Artists, Lead Artists, Technical Artists to Junior.
•Mentoring artists in leadership, skill development and quality standards.
•Developing individual career paths through goal planning and positioning for success.
•Overseeing the hiring of artists. Active participation in portfolio reviews, technical screens, and on-site interviews. Work with Human Resources/Recruiter to facilitate rapid recruiting.
•Developing the art direction capabilities of lead artists.
•Collaborating with Producers to develop and improve the effectiveness of the project review process within the art group.
•Modeling and reinforce professional attitudes and relationships among staff.
•Providing advocacy for artist needs and development.
•Collaborating with Producers and Discipline Leads to develop plans to address common issues.
•Facilitating idea and process sharing among artists.
•Developing annual plan for, oversee and ensure group objectives and artist training programs to build overall group capabilities.
