Disney Online (DOL) produces the No. 1 Community-Family & Parenting destination on the Web, Disney.com as well as the Disney Family network of sites, Disney mobile web and an industry leading suite of online virtual worlds for kids and families. The site provides comprehensive access to, and information about Disney movies, travel, television, games, mobile, music, shopping and live events. In addition, Disney Online develops and publishes a range of online products and services including Club Penguin, Pirates of the Caribbean Online, Disney's Toontown Online, Disney Fairies Pixie Hollow, the upcoming World of Cars Online and the new DisneyXD.com entertainment destination.


POSITION SUMMARY
The Head of Creative, Disney Online Digital Media oversees creative and art direction for the #1 Kids and Family entertainment destination on both the web and mobile web. Disney Online consists of Disney Franchise sites including Mickey Mouse, Disney Fairies, Phineas & Ferb; Disney-branded destinations like DisneyChannel.com and RadioDisney.com; Entertainment destinations such as Disney.com Games and Disney.com Videos; Lifestyle sites reaching adult audiences such as Family.com, FamilyFun, BabyZone, and all Ad Sales and Marketing Initiatives. This individual serves as creative lead in interpreting Disney’s brands and franchises as world-class content and promotional experiences, both online and mobile.
This position requires an experienced, creative and motivated individual to provide leadership to a talented team of designers, writers and artists, must demonstrate seasoned negotiation skills in creative and style execution and maintain a collaborative spirit in working with direct reports, peers and supervisors. This person is directly accountable for all online and mobile creative developed for Disney and for managing multiple teams, with varied skills and expertise, focused on multiple products ranging in scope and budget.

This individual understands creative storytelling, is a conceptual problem-solver with high-end design skills mixed with exceptional people and presentation skills to inspire and drive cutting-edge, award-winning web sites and new media content initiatives that bring the Disney magic experience online. They should be able to lead, motivate and mentor a full creative staff, concept new ideas and collateral, pitch creative to internal and external business partners, and define and establish new processes and guidelines which provide benefit to the products.

Additional Responsibilities Include:
• Creative Supervision - Internal and External; Mentor and lead art direction and creative concept for team of leaders who are in turn leading designers, artists and writers, as well as to inspire overall organization
• Ensure world class development and production of marketing and ad sales materials
• Creative Development and Enhancements of all properties: includes the Establishment, Interpretation and Adherence to Brand Identity Guidelines and Artistic Standards
• Hands on direction for design of conceptual pitch materials, demos and marketing materials
• Monitoring individual performance to best utilize each creative team member’s core discipline appropriately to achieve maximum efficiencies and quality standards
• Partner with creative leadership throughout Disney Interactive Media Group on company-wide initiatives
• Partner with the Director of Operations on central services, including asset management, resource allocation and tracking, project management, and documentation and training
• Lead creative development of prototypes, creative resourcing, and concepting and testing new products
