The Compositing Supervisor is responsible for the quality of the stereo compositing work on a given show. He or she communicates and delegates the compositing needs of the show to the team as well as represents the voice of the compositing crew in respect to workload and pipeline environment. In addition, the Compositing Supervisor serves as a key front-line representative of the company and frequently deals directly with clients, directing the workflow of shots between the client and the internal team. This direct client interaction requires a highly professional demeanour and diplomacy.

General Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure that the quality of the work from the compositing team is of the highest of standards
• Ensure proper work flow methodology for all artists - mentor the compositing team
• Provide ongoing information and feedback to the Stereo Conversion Production Manager regarding issues in the Conversion department
• Composite with Nuke
• Develop workflow and pipeline strategies, processes, methodologies, etc.
• Works with the technical team to help design and implement proprietary pipelines and software
• Works with IO department to ingest, process plates and VFX assets
• Assesses client plates for technical quality issues
• Prior to submission to client, reviews shots for artifacts relating to compositing or colour space issues.
• Serves as key technical expert on productions
