Senior Software Engineer

Description

The Media & Entertainment practice of Autodesk Consulting works closely with customers to drive the leading edge of our creative software tools. We work alongside, are embedded with, and support the leading players in the feature film, games, and post production business.

We are seeking talented software developers to interact with our key customers to design and build customized software solutions for enhancing their 3D CGI pipelines. Our Consultants work directly with customers to understand the true production and business needs of their pipelines. You will architect solutions that improve workflows focused on Autodesk Media & Entertainment products such as Maya, 3ds Max, Softimage, MotionBuilder, Mudbox, FBX, and others. Candidates will create solutions that combine customization of the core code of our software packages as well as scripts and plugins built on top of our application SDKs.

Location: U.S. Home Residence

Responsibilities:

• Work with Consulting customers to understand their existing pipelines, and their requirements for software modifications to improve efficiency or functionality of those pipelines
• Design, develop, test, and deliver custom software solutions to fulfill the customer's requirements
• Work with our product development teams to integrate the custom-built technology into our core applications whenever possible
• Software will be developed primarily in C/C++ and Python

Skills:

• Solid interpersonal and communication skills
• Can work across multiple source code bases simultaneously
• Ability to build relationships with customers and Autodesk development groups
• Working knowledge of relevant Autodesk products Maya, Softimage, 3ds Max, FBX, MotionBuilder, Mudbox
• Familiarity with CG pipelines used to produce feature films or games
