Game Evangelist - Temp. - Irrational Games


SUMMARY

The Game Evangelist supports the Irrational Games Marketing Team, and works closely with peers in the Operations Department. Roughly 50% of the time will be spent presenting product by driving live game demo’s during presentations, , and events, as well as providing onsite support, 25% will involve community support, such as forum administration, topped up with 25% random awesomeness. This is a temporary position for a 6 month term.


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Demo Driving

- Whenever our game needs to be presented at events or external meetings, an Irrational spokesperson will present the game, and the Game Evangelist will demonstrate the game live on either PC, Xbox360 or PlayStation 3
- The Game Evangelist will also be required during internal meetings or onsite/offsite business meetings where a demo driver is required
- Demo driving often involves both national and international travel, and can take up to a week away from home per event.
- The Game Evangelist will also be needed as a demo driver to capture gameplay footage on an ad hoc basis


• Event Support

- The Product Evangelist will be working closely together with peers in the Marketing, and Operations department to plan for consumer and industry events. The planning could involve, but is not limited to: concepting, scheduling, executing, preparing documents to brief staff, book travel, shipping, and producing promotional items.
- The Game Evangelist may also be asked to provide onsite support during events, such as, helping taking pictures for fans, handing out swag, be a runner for ad hoc requests, meet and greet guests, assist with demo stations, light IT support, or assist with line management.


• Community Support

- Working closely with peers in the Marketing Department, the Game Evangelist will provide additional support to increase our engagement with the online community. This involves, but is not limited to posting on the forums, Twitter, Facebook, and working on ad hoc initiatives


• Miscellaneous

- From time to time ad hoc support for the Marketing department will be required. This may include asset distribution, administrative tasks, or PR support
