Professor of Animation

SCAD Hong Kong seeks candidates for a full-time faculty position teaching animation for Winter 2013. Qualified candidates should hold an M.F.A., or its equivalent, in animation or a related field. Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate through their work expertise traditional (2D) animation and CG (3D) animation. Candidates will be required to develop and extend students' animation craft in the context of story, audience, and teamwork for group production. Therefore, a keen understanding of commercial or independent film-making would be a major asset to the position and preferred. Five or more years of experience in the industry and strong production credits are also preferred. College-level teaching experience, proven leadership ability, and experience with a diverse student body are essential.
