Asset Technical Director

Description

The Asset TD is responsible for helping the Asset Supervisor and VFX Supervisor fulfill their creative vision by producing quality character, set, and prop rigs and models, as well as scripting solutions for both global and localized situations. Under the supervision of the Asset Supervisor, the Asset TD works with the CG CORE Team to develop the aesthetics and pipeline for current CG projects. The Asset TD will also assist the Asset Supervisor with developing new techniques, visual development, and pipeline standards for new projects. This position requires working closely with the CG Animation, RnD, and Episodic Leads.

•Work with the show Leads, R&D and Animation teams to create rigging and scripting pipeline solutions
•Character, Set and Prop Set-up/Rigging/Weighting/Skinning
•Being knowledgeable about our pipeline proper workflow across departments
•Creating and implementing new tools and techniques using Mel and Python scripting
•In depth knowledge of rigging and mel/python scripting required •Great aesthetic eye for skin weights is a must
