Senior Creative Program Designer - CGI Generalist

The CGI Generalist Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a group of CGI Generalists in the creation of Creative Vehicle Reveal Short Films and day to day creative design motion and imagery, ensuring work is created to a feature film quality, and standards requested by the Creative Manager and Design Leadership.

CGI Generalist Supervisor will also demonstrate the ability to break down complex VFX shots and Photo Retouching into achievable work-flows using Maya, Nuke and Photoshop. As such, a strong technical background with the ability to modify and/or create scripts to develop work-flows is key to their success.

Successful candidates are inspiring artists and can model, texture, shade, light, look development and composite CG images or shots.

Art Direction and Critiquing ability is a must to insure the highest standards are achieved by the team before work is presented. Solid time management and problem solving with the team is also essential to insure that the required quality is completed in the set time frame.

- Responsible for leading and mentoring digital artists in 3D generalist work with a focus on talent review, assessment as well as individual and collective development.
- Demonstrates ability to translate the Creative Manager’s direction into a series of steps to achieve end results for artist on the generalist team.
- Demonstrate good listening and communication skills by openly receiving and understanding direction and criticism from the Creative Manager, and communicating and defining their expectations to the CGI generalist group.
- Raises concerns and offers solutions, establishes appropriate methods and accurate estimates on shot production including responsibility for the teams’ schedule.
- Must possess a keen eye for aesthetic detail and the ability to effectively communicate with the team, especially around realism and form representation.
- Uses artistic and technical skills to work on all aspects of CG images or shots.
- Able to troubleshoot technical issues with one-off shots and the shot production pipeline.
- Demonstrated ability to do development work to set up production work-flow and establish a look.
- Lead creation of outstanding artwork within a shot, using various software programs.
- Participates as a team member in determining various aesthetic solutions.
- Maintain or exceed a consistent level of productivity while meeting deadlines and producing high quality work.
- Source suitable reference material for required assets.
