Creative Director, Social Gaming - Las Vegas, NV
The Social Gaming Creative Director plays a key role in SHFL Entertainment’s online game development process, overseeing the social versions of our online games. This position works alongside the RMG Creative Director and is responsible for the overall look, feel, and user experience of our company’s games.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include, but are not limited to: train and mentor employees; plan, assign, delegate and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; and resolve employee issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the design process of SHFL’s social games from concept to launch
- Work closely with Product Management and the Executive Team to develop/improve social and free-to-play products
- Create and maintain design documentation
- Perform competitive research and analysis
Required Job Skills:- Solid understanding of the social and free to play market
- Creative background, including knowledge of graphic design, typography, usability, and layout principles
- User interface design experience
- Familiarity with versioning systems (SVN, GIT, etc.)
- Familiarity with SHFL products and gambling games in general
- Ability to motivate and lead others within a strong collaborative team environment
- A love of games
Computer Equipment and Software: Strong working knowledge of the following tools:
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Prototyping and presentation software (Omnigraffle, Keynote/Powerpoint)
- JIRA
- Agile Kanban
Education and Experience: Education:- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience
Experience:- Five plus (5+) years managerial and leadership experience in the game/gaming industry with products launched
