SENIOR SCM ENGINEER #1593474 RESPONSIBILITIES: - Helping to implement best SCM practices - Analyze, improve and automate existing manual processes - Integrate various software components in kernel and user space together to provide a working baseline for development and testing on a daily basis - Debug day to day android, linux and chrome issues using GDB and ADB - Engage with cross-functional teams and co-ordinate deployment activities. - Responsible for releases and configuration management for Android and other linux based software development. - Communicate build status and proactively work with appropriate development teams and QA to resolve conflicts and software configuration issues. - Suggest code branching and merging strategies, enable and maintain GIT repos - Working closely with software developers and leads to resolve software issues gating customer releases - Drive bugs and help to maintain the quality of source code being developed MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Strong experience with build/release engineering for mobile products - Very strong problem solving and debugging skills - Experience with Android and Linux - Experience with Git and Gerrit - Ability to self-manage, show leadership, and communicate well - Strong scripting skills; Python experience is a plus - Previous C/C++ programming experience is a plus - BS or MS degree in EE/CS/CE EOE
