SOFTWARE PROGRAM MANAGER

SOFTWARE PROGRAM MANAGER #1523602 This person may drive a mix of internal and external programs, mainly in the Automotive markets. RESPONSIBILITIES: - SW Program Management * Interface with key OEMs on software issues * Drive OEM issues within NVIDIA's Embedded software engineering team * Provide technical feedback to the OEMs regarding the resolution of their issues. * Drive OEM software priorities within NVIDIA, and champion the OEM within NVIDIA's Embedded software engineering team * Ensure that the OEM's experience with the NVIDIA Embedded software team adds value to their overall relationship with NVIDIA - Internal Project Management: * Manage software releases for new hardware and/or new software features * Manage software release cycle across the Embedded Software team by working with development and SQA leads. This includes defining releases, driving features and bug fixes, testing, and documentation. * Drive all software activities in support of new chips, from design through production. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Required Organizational Skills and Traits: - Hands on experience with software development and process specifically for device drivers and software application development - Detail oriented with proven ability to multitask in a fast moving environment with shifting priorities and changing requirements - Excellent communications and technical presentation skills - Proactive, responsive and keen on process enhancement - Able to think strategically and tactically and to build consensus to make programs successful - Demonstrable ability to think outside the box to resolve technical issues and resource conflicts - Demonstrated ability to get complex product to customers - Consensus and team building skills - 5 years in a similar or related role - BS EE or CS - PM Certification/training a plus TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: - 5 years programming of a modern programming language highly desired - Thorough knowledge of software engineering principles - Experience with productivity tools and process automation in support of this role a big plus - Knowledge of operating systems, graphics principles and standards are a plus EOE
