Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is a next-generation, third-person action game set in Middle-earth that explores an original story of vengeance and redemption.  Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is in development for PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment systems, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, the Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft and Windows PC.


Monolith Productions seeks a Senior Art Producer (SP) responsible for all phases of production for the Art component of a large AAA quality product shipping on Next-Gen and Current Gen platforms simultaneously. The SP collaborates with the Executive Producer and other Senior Producers to drive all aspects of the product’s development.

In coordination with the team leads, Executive Producer and other Senior Producers, the SP establishes the goals, schedule and game development processes needed to ensure the development team is successful in delivering the game on time and on budget.

The SP will be responsible for working closely with and mentoring the production staff that drive the development effort of the single product. The Senior Producer will have complete oversight of the Art content of the product, the production staff and the development team associated with the development of this component.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works closely with the Art Director and Art Leads to ensure the content pipeline and processes are efficient and deliveries are on time and at a high quality.
  • Coordinates with Publishing Production, Development team and Marketing to ensure needs are being met and that the development and scheduling of Marketing assets are closely coordinated between the different parties.
  • Works cross discipline to ensure that the agreed-upon schedule is being met, the feature set goals are being met and that collaboration between Directors are being fostered on a regular basis.
  • Oversees and manages the content outsourcing efforts and budgets.
  • Develop and track project team staffing plan and budget.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Excellent communication skills required, both written and verbal. Must be able to manage communications effectively within development and publishing arms.
  • Must understand content pipeline and processes needed to create and implement Art.
  • Must have strong organizational skills.
  • Must have strong scheduling, tracking and resource management skills.
  • Must have strong Production knowledge.
  • Must be collaborative and an effective negotiator.
  • Must be a resourceful and creative problem solver.
  • Requires a self -starter with high level of initiative.
  • Strong ability to grow and mentor direct reports.
  • Experience working on Open World Action/Adventure games preferred.
  • At least 1 published title as a Senior Producer on a game development team.
  • At least 5 years of content production experience.
  • At least 5 years of game development team production experience.
  • At least 7 years experience within the videogames industry.
  • Prior experience working for (or closely with) game publishers preferred but not necessary.
  • Provide key leadership for the development team.
  • Ensure consistent vision and goal setting.
  • Manage production for a large-team development effort.
  • Conduct annual reviews and goal setting for production staff. Provide performance feedback to EP and team managers for all other positions.
  • Deliver a high-quality product on-time, on-budget, and to specification.
  • Ensure communication among development team and to senior management.
  • Drive the relationship and establish methods and processes between product team and Publisher requirements.
  • Experience leading teams of at least 35 people.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of team dynamics.
  • Extremely organized and proficient overseeing large project schedules. Experience with current team management methods and practices a requirement.
  • Understanding of a variety of development processes for major game development projects.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with strict deadlines.
  • Good technical understanding of 3D games and technology.
  • Must be passionate about playing and making video games for the PC and gaming consoles.
