Senior Technical Artist

The Role:

Shiver Entertainment is looking for an exceptionally talented individual to be a part of the engineering & art teams working on the studio’s first title. The Senior Technical Artist will be responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining the art production work-flow - ensuring that the artists have the tools they need to develop and create assets 

You will promote and contribute to the art direction of the game, assisting in the elevation of the visuals to ever higher levels.  As part of a new team,  you will own and set the direction for the tech art development for multiple projects, working in a dynamic and agile environment. 

Responsibilities:

Pipeline - Working closely with various departments of the team to define and improve all aspects of the art pipeline
Tool development – forecasting and facilitating the creation of tools needed by the art team, partnering with the engineering team, giving feedback and experimenting with out of the box solutions
Animation rigging – Participating in rigging, as well as solving issues and creating tools to streamline the process
Optimization – ensuring the game is budgeted and runs at optimum levels
Visualization – contributing to the overall artistic vision of the game, creating new techniques that will push the game to its highest potential 


Requirements:

1 shipped title as a Lead Technical Artist on PC or major console platform 
5+ years professional games development experience as at Technical Artist
Experience with C++ programming and scripting languages.
Solving technical issues that arise with new tools or game performance
Experience with rigging, lighting, tools scripting, VFX, and shader development
Familiarity with 3DStudio Max.
