As our Senior Lighting Artist (m/f) you will be responsible for designing and creating high quality cinematics and trailers. You will also be jointly responsible for ensuring a coherent style is maintained and for the graphic design of our products and trailers.

Your job:

  • Design, create, and implement all necessary lighting requirements for our cinematics
  • Create high quality lighting based on photo references, style guides and concepts
  • Ensure that all assets meet our high quality standards and are delivered on time
  • Work closely with our 3D, animatics and game teams
  • Provide technical support and mentoring to other artists in lighting and cinematics
  • Help optimize processes within the art department and identify potential production challenges
  • Provide feedback to all departments involved and give technical guidance to other lighting artists

Your profile:

  • A completed degree or apprenticeship in 3D or a comparable course
  • Several years’ in-depth professional experience as a lighting artist, ideally in the film, TV, or gaming industries
  • Outstanding knowledge of the use of lighting to create atmosphere
  • In-depth understanding of light and shade, as well as color theory
  • Very good knowledge of rendering concepts, processes and software (Photoshop, Maya, etc.)
  • Detailed, creative, reliable and punctual working approach
  • Strong technical understanding, able to identify and solve complex lighting challenges
  • Highly knowledgeable about current industry standards above all regarding software, and aware of emerging trends
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Passion for gaming
  • A valid work and residence permit is required prior to commencement of employment
