Buzztime is looking for its next employee! We are searching for an experienced Graphic Artist!
Our next hire will:
As the Graphic Artist, you are responsible for graphically portraying a product’s purpose and functionality. Working with various departments, the Graphic Artist creates graphic designs that inspire patrons to interact with Buzztime products while communicating Buzztime’s brand identity.
• Produce visual designs and animations from conception to implementation, including those for web, television, print, and mobile devices
• Communicate the design rationale and explain visual choices to individuals in multiple organizations
• Develop design specifications that Engineers use to apply visual design to products
• Create and iterate on art assets that portray complex product functionality in a simple design
Periodic travel to customer locations

You should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field from an accredited university, or equivalent years of experience in a visual design role.
• 3+ years of design related experience with increasing level of responsibility
• Experience designing mobile products for a consumer oriented device
• Unity experience required
• Ability to create style guides or design specification sheets to be used by multiple organizations
• Must be able to manage multiple, competing priorities
• Experience working with Product Managers and Engineers
• Fluency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and InDesign
• Knowledge of Cinema4D or Blender a plus
• Ability to create motion graphics
• Ability to establish visual hierarchy, layout, typography, and color effectively
• Ability to use visual design to organize information and guide people through tasks
• Understanding of bit rates and encoding/exporting media to various video file formats
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated, results-oriented
• Get excited by producing beautiful and inspiring designs
• Excellent communicator both written and verbal.

It's also nice if you have:
• Game design background is a plus
• Restaurant industry knowledge is a plus
• Rapid prototyping experience is a plus
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS/Flash is a plus
• Experience working with user researchers (preferred)
• Ability to understand and apply usability results (preferred)
