Description
Reporting to the Head of Software, you will work to build and support Bardel's Production Management system - Delivering pragmatic, efficient systems while making sure the underlying logic and data structures are robust, nimble and sustainable.
Critical to success in this role is an aptitude for working with technical and non-technical end users to understand their workflows and pain points. This is a role for a people person.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Design and write well-structured, easily maintainable, well-documented code.
- Full stack web developer with a experience with ruby on rails at least 3 years
- Experience with at least one of the javascript frameworks such as angular.js, ember.js or jquery.
- Experience with CSS preprocessors such as SASS and CSS libraries such as Foundation or Bootstrap
- Experience with deployment stack such as Nginx, unicorn, puma or rainbow
- Experience with web application performance tuning and optimization
- Commitment to test driven development and code review
- Solid analytical and communication skills
- Knowledge of networking and hosting concepts and deployment process
- Work closely with production team in creating new features and products
- Build scalable backend architecture of API
- Great communication skills in speaking, listening and writing
- Team player
- Interest in practicing agile development
Additional Skills a plus:
- Experience with Node.js
- Experience with AWS or heroku
- Familiar with distributed task infrastracture
- Big data skills (Hadoop, Map/Reduce)
