Operating on four continents, Stereo D is an important part of Deluxe’s Content Creation division and is the recognized leader in high-quality 3d digital production and, in particular, conversion of 2D theatrical content into stereoscopic 3D imagery. Formed in 2009, the company works with major motion picture studios and producers, A-list directors and VFX/Stereo supervisors to bring their vision of 3D storytelling to the screen. Stereo D has completed the entire 3D conversion process for such films as GUARDIANS of the GALAXY, HERCULES, TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, THE AVENGERS, JURASSIC PARK in 3D and TITANIC in 3D to name a few.  The company also provides end-to-end 3D production services on animated feature films, television productions and commercials.

About this position

As a company focused on stereoscopic conversion, this position will work with the pipeline programmers and artist leads to architect and develop an asset management and production tracking system. Supporting modules of the internal API for the Stereo production process, in a Python scripting language environment. Projects include design and development of asset management and production tracking systems, as well as continued development of the core pipeline, supporting modules and sub-systems currently in production. This position reports to the Pipeline Programming Lead. 

Responsibilities

·         Design and develop systems that make up the custom pipeline

·         Learn about production processes and current work-flow within the pipeline to accurately assess requirements of new or existing systems

·         Learn current modules and tools and utilize libraries of existing code

·         Document code and systems, communicating peer review unsure dependencies

·         Maintain clear and timely communication regarding code changes and system role outs to Pipeline team and studio

Requirements

·         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred

·         Experience scripting with Python required and Django strongly preferred

·         Ability to work with a team to deliver high quality software in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-oriented environment

·         3D math skills, familiarity with stereoscopic concepts a plus but not required

·         Experience with relational databases ideal
